By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered: Section 1 . Purpose and Policy . As I announced in Executive Order 14172 of January 20, 2025 (Restoring Names That Honor American Greatness), it is the policy of my Administration to recognize the extraordinary contributions of the American people and the rich heritage of our history by naming great natural landmarks for our shared achievements. The United States is the greatest protector of the Great Lakes, including the body of water currently known as Lake Ontario. Without the security and investment provided by the United States, this freshwater system would not be open for shipping, recreation, and responsible use to the same extent as it is today. The United States Coast Guard supplies 9 of the 11 ice breaking vessels on the Great Lakes, securing commercial shipping lanes free of charge. The United States has invested nearly $4 billion in protecting the Great Lakes freshwater ecosystem in the last decade, while Canada has invested far less in similar initiatives over the same period. Sec . 2 . Lake America . (a) The body of water currently known as Lake Ontario is a tremendous asset to the United States and part of our Nation’s heritage. With…

Today, President Donald J. Trump returns to Texas with a record to match the visit: tax relief in workers’ pockets, the most secure border in a generation, safer streets, and a surge of private investment creating new American jobs across the state. President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts put money back in Texans’ pockets. No Tax on Overtime: Approximately one in four Texas workers no longer pay federal income taxes on qualifying overtime pay. No Tax on Social Security: About four million Texas seniors benefit from the new senior deduction. Bigger Refunds: Texas taxpayers saw average refunds of $4,344 — the second-highest in the nation. Rural Health Investments: Texas secured about $281 million in first-year Rural Health Transformation Program funding. Protecting Jobs and Wages: The Working Families Tax Cuts safeguarded 547,000 Texas jobs, $107 billion in state GDP, and $51 billion in workers’ wages. Violent crime is falling across the state as a result of President Trump’s law-and-order agenda. Violent crime fell 13% last year, including a 13% drop in murder and 11% drop in rape. Editorial illustrationLIVENEVER SURRENDER: Karoline Leavitt’s Historic Tenure as White House Press Secretary
Today, Karoline Leavitt completes her final day as the 36th White House Press Secretary — the youngest person to ever hold the position and among the best ever to do it. She leaves the James S. Brady Briefing Room after a tenure defined by command, clarity, and an unrelenting defense of President Donald J. Trump and the America First agenda. President Trump called her “one of the best White House Press Secretaries in the History of the Office” — and that’s the legacy she leaves behind. She refused to let reporters turn the briefing room into a stage for activism: “You’re a left-wing hack. You’re not a reporter. You’re posing in this room as a journalist… You and the people in the media who have such biases but fake like you’re a journalist — you shouldn’t even be sitting in that seat.” She rejected questions that didn’t deserve the dignity of longer replies: “What a stupid question.” She responded with facts: “All of them — because they illegally broke our nation’s laws and therefore, they are criminals.” She declared this…
Editorial illustrationLIVEFact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Further Ensures Affordable Beef for the American Consumer
ADDRESSING BEEF AFFORDABILITY WITH TARGETED ACTION: Today, President Donald J. Trump signed a Proclamation to temporarily increase the quantity of lean beef trimmings that are imported with no above-quota tariff to ensure affordable beef for American consumers in light of current supply challenges. This action includes key safeguards to maximize cost savings while protecting American ranchers from foreign imports and giving space for American ranchers to grow the domestic herd. The Proclamation temporarily expands the existing quantity of lean beef trimmings that are subject to an in-quota tariff rate, to produce ground beef, allowing trading partners eligible to ship beef to the United States to take advantage of lower, in-quota tariff rates. This expanded quota has the following limitations: It only applies for 90 days, beginning on September 1, 2026. It only allows 100,000 tons per month. (USDA projects U.S. beef production in 2026 to be over 11 million tons.) It only applies to lean beef trimmings to combine with U.S. beef for ground beef. It encourages beef to be sold at a 25% discount from the going import price.…
Editorial illustrationLIVEFurther Ensuring Affordable Beef for the American Consumer
BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 1. In Proclamation 11010 of February 6, 2026 (Ensuring Affordable Beef for the American Consumer), I found that cattle ranchers in the United States have played, and continue to play, an integral role in food production for the United States; that the United States is the world’s largest consumer of beef and is a large importer of beef; that, because of recent circumstances, beef prices have increased unreasonably for United States consumers; that imports into the United States of certain beef products, including lean beef trimmings, are currently subject to the United States tariff-rate quota (TRQ) for beef; and that the United States supply of lean beef trimmings or directly competitive or substitutable agricultural products will be inadequate to meet domestic demand at reasonable prices because of a natural disaster and major national market disruption. Accordingly, in Proclamation 11010, I took action to address the elevated beef prices for United States consumers, including the elevated price of ground beef. Specifically, I increased the in-quota amount for lean beef trimmings from Argentina…

SECURING AMERICA’S BULK-POWER SYSTEM: Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order to protect the security, integrity, and reliability of bulk-power system electric equipment used in the United States, particularly from interference by foreign actors. The Order declares a national emergency under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and the National Emergencies Act with respect to the unusual and extraordinary foreign threat to the United States involving bulk-power systems produced abroad that may present national security vulnerabilities. To deal with the threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States, the Order, among other things, generally prohibits certain foreign-produced bulk-power system electric equipment, including associated critical software and digital capabilities that could pose cybersecurity or operational risks, from being purchased or installed in the United States, or appropriately conditions such purchases and installations to address those risks. The Order focuses on transactions involving foreign nationals that pose an undue risk of sabotage, unauthorized access, or other disruption, an undue risk of catastrophic effects on the security or resiliency of U.S. critical infrastructure, or an unacceptable…

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1701 et seq .) (IEEPA), the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq .) (NEA), and section 301 of title 3, United States Code, I hereby determine and order: Section 1 . National Emergency . As President of the United States, my highest duty is protecting the national security, foreign policy, and economy of this country. Certain foreign actors are increasingly creating and exploiting vulnerabilities in the United States bulk-power system, which provides the electricity that supports our national defense, vital emergency services, critical infrastructure, and economy. During my first term, I found that the bulk-power system could be a target of those seeking to commit malicious acts against the United States, including malicious cyber activities, because of the significant risks that a successful attack would have on our economy, human health and safety, and national defense. Since my first term, the threat to the United States regarding foreign supply…

Canada has been ripping off the United States for decades — and President Donald J. Trump is done letting them get away with it. Last week, the U.S. offered Canada the most preferential market access of any country on Earth, with deep cuts on steel, aluminum, autos, lumber, and more. Instead of partnership, Canada chose unreasonable demands, walk-backs, and flat-out rejection. FACT: Canada is joined only by the People’s Republic of China in choosing retaliation over negotiation. Their continued discriminatory treatment of U.S. commerce has burdened American workers, farmers, and businesses. FACT: Canada alone imposed discriminatory 25% tariffs and company-specific quotas on U.S. motor vehicles — measures applied to no other country. As a result, U.S. vehicle exports to Canada crashed 22% over the last year. FACT: Canada banned American wine, beer, and spirits in nearly every province and territory — while other countries have faced no such restrictions. As a result, U.S. alcohol exports to Canada collapsed 81% in a single year. FACT: Canada locks out U.S. dairy with tariff-rate quotas far more restrictive than those given to Europe,…

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 1. In Proclamation 11046 of July 20, 2026 (Imposing Additional Duties to Offset Canadian Discrimination Against the Commerce of the United States With Respect to Alcoholic Beverages), I found as a fact that Canada is discriminating against the commerce of the United States by banning the purchase, distribution, or retailing of U.S. alcoholic beverages while not banning or similarly restricting such products from other countries; that this discrimination places the commerce of the United States at a disadvantage compared to the commerce of other countries; and that Canada’s imposition is unreasonable, is not equally enforced upon the like articles of every foreign country, and places a burden on the commerce of the United States. To offset the burden or disadvantage on U.S. commerce from Canada’s discrimination or unreasonable and unequal imposition on U.S. alcoholic beverages, I imposed under section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930 (19 U.S.C. 1338) (section 338) additional ad valorem duties, effective August 19, 2026, on certain imports of Canada. 2. Based on the facts considered in that investigation, and taking into account the close relation of the economic welfare of the Nation to our national security and other relevant factors, see section 232(d) (19 U.S.C. 1862(d)), the Secretary found and advised me of his opinion that UAS and UAS components are being imported into the United States in such quantities and under such circumstances as to threaten to impair the national security of the United States and provided recommendations for action under section 232 to adjust the imports of UAS and UAS components so that such imports will not threaten to impair the national security of the…

MEMORANDUM FOR THE SECRETARY OF WAR THE DIRECTOR OF THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET THE ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT FOR NATIONAL SECURITY AFFAIRS SUBJECT: Rebuilding the United States Navy and America’s Shipbuilding Industrial Base By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including section 301 of title 3, United States Code, I hereby direct: Section 1 . Purpose . The United States Navy has experienced a series of shipbuilding setbacks stemming from overly complex designs and iterative design change procedures, which have resulted in cost growth, delays, and cancellations. The lack of capacity and competition among shipbuilders has resulted in large backlogs of orders across six major Navy shipbuilding programs and a commercial shipbuilding sector that is not globally competitive. An atrophied shipbuilding industrial base, coupled with diminished adjacent supplier bases, has expanded delays and increased costs. The Department of War shall restore both capacity and competition to the maritime industrial base as it expands our naval force structure. It will use proven, reliable, and affordable technologies…

THWARTING CYBER CRIMES: Today, President Donald J. Trump signed a National Security Presidential Memorandum (NSPM) empowering U.S. Federal law enforcement to use cyber tools to disrupt transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) that operate in foreign jurisdictions to attack Americans. The NSPM directs the Homeland Security Task Force’s National Coordination Center (NCC) to create a program to conduct specific cyber operations that disrupt foreign TCOs, with two Executive Directors from the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security. The NSPM directs the NCC to leverage the capability and innovation of the private sector to help conduct these cyber operations under the direction, control, and authority of the U.S. Government. The NSPM establishes a framework where private sector companies that willingly participate in the program are encouraged to enter into agreements with other private entities as well Federal, State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial agencies to gather TCO threat information and propose cyber operations that address those threats. The NSPM directs the Program’s Executive Directors and the Homeland Security Council to create rigorous procedures for the review and conduct of these limited…
Editorial illustrationLIVENational Substance Use Primary Prevention Month, 2026
BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA This National Substance Use Primary Prevention Month, we renew our pledge to safeguard our children, friends, families, and communities from the devastating reach of illicit drugs by stopping addiction before it ever begins. Substance abuse remains among the gravest threats confronting our country, poisoning neighborhoods, shattering families, and destroying lives filled with promise. Our Nation’s youth stand among the most targeted and vulnerable, susceptible at an impressionable age to influences that can draw them into a life-threatening cycle of dependency. Every young life claimed by this scourge represents a future torn from our national story, a tragedy whose grief echoes throughout households and hometowns. My Administration has confronted this crisis with unwavering resolve to protect American lives. I proudly signed the HALT Fentanyl Act into law, permanently classifying fentanyl-related substances as Schedule I drugs, and I designated nearly a dozen cartels as foreign terrorist organizations. Our southern border now stands as the most secure in American history, stopping the flood of illegal aliens, deadly narcotics, and criminal traffickers before they can…

Editorial illustrationLIVEICYMI: “Violent crime keeps falling in biggest U.S. cities”
A new mid-year crime report delivers more clear proof: President Donald J. Trump’s law-and-order agenda is crushing violent crime across America. According to the Major Cities Chiefs Association, homicides in the nation’s largest cities are down 17.2% from the first half of last year — alongside sharp declines in robberies, rapes, aggravated assaults, and overall violent crime. That translates to nearly 14,200 fewer reported violent crimes in just six months. The results are especially striking in Democrat-run cities where the Trump Administration has aggressively surged federal resources and National Guard support after years of soft-on-crime failure. In Washington, D.C., homicides are down 43.9%. In Memphis, homicides are down 43.7%. In New Orleans, homicides are down nearly 25%. This builds directly on last year’s already historic progress , when murders and other violent crime plummeted to levels not seen in more than a century — and is the latest in a mountain of data all pointing to the same unmistakable reality. The Council on Criminal Justice finds the national murder rate is on pace to hit the lowest level in at…

This National Shooting Sports Month, we celebrate America’s proud tradition of recreational shooting and hunting and the glorious exercise of our Second Amendment rights. For generations, this time-honored way of life has instilled discipline, promoted rugged individualism that drove American civilization west, and connected millions of Americans to the great outdoors. The right to keep and bear arms is among the most cherished liberties secured by our Constitution and rooted in the timeless truth that our rights are endowed by Almighty God, not granted by government. This foundational freedom depends upon citizens who exercise it with discipline, integrity, and care, understanding that the blessings of liberty are preserved through personal responsibility and a steadfast commitment to the common good. That same sense of duty runs through our Nation’s rich sporting traditions, which remain inseparable from America’s enduring commitment to conservation. Hunters and anglers have long led that cause, preserving countless acres of wildlife habitat, restoring thriving game populations, and safeguarding the beauty of our public lands and waters for those yet to come. Through the Make America Beautiful Again Commission,…
Editorial illustrationLIVEFact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Delivers Gold Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations for Americans
DELIVERING GOLD STANDARD CHILDHOOD VACCINE RECOMMENDATIONS: Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order to recognize Gold Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations that maximize parental choices over vaccinations for their children and align three categories of childhood immunizations with scientific evidence and best practices from peer, developed countries. The Order provides recommendations that give parents more information and options when making immunization decisions for their children. The Order recommends all children get immunizations to provide protection for 11 diseases – a decrease from the 18 diseases recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2024. Immunizations no longer recommended for all children are now recommended for shared clinical decision-making, ensuring that parents have all options available to them. The Order recommends separating out the combined MMR vaccine into three single-disease shots and recommends administering all vaccines during separate medical visits to give parents more options regarding the timing and frequency of this vaccine administration. States that enact school vaccine requirements are advised to consider the Gold Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations and consider updating their laws to reflect the…
Editorial illustrationLIVEDelivering Gold Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations for Americans
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered: Section 1 . Purpose and Policy . Pursuant to the Presidential Memorandum of December 5, 2025 (Aligning United States Core Childhood Vaccine Recommendations with Best Practices from Peer, Developed Countries), the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) completed a scientific assessment, which identified a set of consensus vaccines that are consistently recommended in all peer countries and found that the United States currently recommends more childhood vaccines than any peer nation, including more than twice as many vaccine doses as some European nations (scientific assessment). The scientific assessment also found that, instead of implementing vaccination mandates, most peer nations maintain high childhood vaccination rates through public trust and education. In the United States, by contrast, individual States set mandatory vaccination requirements that children must meet to attend school. Executive Order 14407 of May 29, 2026 (Realigning United States Core Childhood Vaccine Recommendations With Best Practices From Peer, Developed Countries), committed the Federal Government to ensuring…
